Custom Season Wins

Every Wordle League season ends when someone racks up enough weekly wins to be crowned champion. Until now, that number was fixed. Not anymore — league managers can now decide how long a season lasts.

🎯 What's New

You can now set your league's Season Wins — the number of weekly wins it takes to win the season -- anywhere from 2 to 6. Want fast, punchy seasons with frequent champions? Drop it to 2 or 3. Prefer a long grind where consistency is king? Push it to 5 or 6. Your league, your call.

⚙️ The Defaults (unchanged)

If you don't touch a thing, nothing changes — every leaguekeeps the same target it's always had:

🕹️ How to Change It

1. Open your league's dashboard

2. Scroll to League Settings

3. Find the new Season Wins control (right below Minimum Weekly Scores)

4. Tap your number, hit Save Changes — done! ✅

The public Season and Rules tabs update automatically so every player sees the new goal.

📋 Good to Know

- 🔒 Past seasons are never touched. Changing the target only affects the current and future seasons — your league history stays exactly as it was. - ➡️ It sticks. The setting carries forward season after season until you change it again.

- 🛡️ Smart guardrail. You can't lower the target to a number a player has already reached this season (that would end the season retroactively) — we'll stop you with a friendly heads-up.

- 🔁 Division Mode: one setting applies to both divisions equally.

🚀 Why It Matters

Short seasons mean more champions, more trophies, and more "new season, fresh start" energy. Longer seasons reward the steady players who show up week after week. Now you can tune the rhythm of your league to match your crew.
