Wordplay League – Text Messaging Terms Privacy Policy
What is WordPlayLeague?
Wordplay League is a Wordle-style scoring and league tracking service. Players share their daily Wordle results (for example: “Wordle 123 3/6 ⬛🟨🟩…”) in a group text thread that includes the Wordplay League phone number. We parse those scores to create standings, leaderboards, and emoji-based summaries for each league.
Privacy & Data Use
We respect your privacy. We will not share, sell, or rent your mobile phone number, SMS consent, or text messaging data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share your information only with service providers who help us deliver Wordplay League services (such as message delivery or customer support), and only for those purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties for their own marketing purposes.
SMS Consent
By providing your mobile phone number to Wordplay League or by texting our Wordplay League phone number (+1 858-666-6827), you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from Wordplay League at that number. These messages will include score confirmations, league standings, and other information related to your participation in Wordplay League. Message and data rates may apply. How You Opt In
You may receive text messages from Wordplay League in two ways:

Group Text Threads

A league organizer adds the Wordplay League phone number to a group text thread for your league. By sending your Wordle score or any message to that number in the thread, you agree to receive automated text messages related to:

Confirming that your score was received

Informational updates about your league standings or season results

Direct Messages

If you text the Wordplay League phone number directly with your Wordle score or other message, you also agree to receive automated text messages related to score submissions and league standings.

Message Frequency
Message frequency will vary depending on how often you play and how many leagues you are in, but generally may be up to a few messages per day while you are actively participating.
How to Opt Out
You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying:

After you text STOP, you may receive a final confirmation message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive text messages from us unless you start a new conversation or opt in again.
